My flesh and heart failed. Psalms 73:25-26

Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strengthf of my heart and my portion forever.
As I read this passage now, I have to agree and I have no options, my flesh and my heart fails and many ways, my strength is not what I thought, and my heart gavel me wrong feelings, and when that happens the only thing left is an empty space.
I realized that when everything here fails, thats when it seems that we lift our eyes and elevate our minds to His understanding and His wisdom to help us to go beyond our own limitations. The question knocks the door of our grief and sorrow for not achieving what we desire, a question that can’t be answered by any human mind, Whom have I in heaven but you?. Even He has many many many angels, still the question valid, Whom have I? Heaven is an unknown place, nobody have ever been able to go and come back to tell us what is there, except Jesus, the One Who came from Heaven, and He explained that up there, is The Father, to bless us and help us just exactly as loving father, there is no other help to go to Heaven but You, and when everything else keeps failing, time fails, family fails, friends fail, money fail, dreams fades, health walks away, mortality hits our door from time to time, by looking those around us to die and leave this earth, and the question still on, Whom I have? when there is nothing, nobody, all possibilities, all resources, all ideas, everything and I mean everything drops down to die, and with agony desperation I scream, Whom have I? whom have I? and I have to mention that I am nobody, who am I to have something from You? You are holy, am not, You are wise, I don’t, You are powerful, me the weak, You are the creator of knowledge, i am just a hearer of your whispering, who am I, that yo are mindful of me? the question still on, Whom have I in heave?, even I haven’t even see the back of your presence as Moses did, I can hear the whisper in my spirit, your soft answer, with all authority, I AM, WHOM YOU HAVE, NOT FOR WHAT YOU ARE, BUT BY MY MERCY, and I said thanks. So remember all those who have received the Son, the same ones have the Father, and who ever has The Father, has everything. Be joyful about it and testify, that you have God up in heaven.

Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about. When we think of love, we normally think of happiness, benefits, caring, helping, but who in the world would ever think of love as sacrificing your own son? Abraham was tested with the most unexpected test that any human been can think; sacrifice your own son as a proof of his love for God. We must understand that God is love, and He will never ever, ask anything to anybody that will hurt and damage his integrity as man, and the reason is because we are created to His own image, and God asking something like that would be like damaging His own reflection. So God was testing the faith of Abraham and the text I am meditating now, says “take your son, whom you love… and sacrifice him there as burnt offering… I can’t imagine what was in the mind of Isaac at 13 years old, seeing his father putting him over an altar where normally it supposed to be a ram or a sheep, but this time, it was Isaac, and he asked his father, before this, “father where is the sacrifice?”, and Abraham answers was, God will provide for Himself. This is the kind of answers that only men or women can give to God, when they really know that God loves them, when God is asking something out of the normal. Trusting in Him, knowing that even it seemed estrange, unthinkable, he was willing to go to the extreme, and lift up the knife, and then, an angel, stopped him, saying, you passed the test, there is your ram, trade your heart for His sacrifice. Now, the fact that it is calling my attention is that in Hebrew I found that the word for love sounds aw-hab, it really hits deep in my heart, because it sound to me like Rahab, the harlot. That woman that was living in total opposition to God, living a lustful life, but when she saw the first and only sign of the love of God, she reacted in the perfect way repenting from her life, city, friends, and made a strong decision. She understood, that by the spies getting to her house, because they were looking for a place to hide to be able to get in and get out, reporting the status of Jericho, she was giving an opportunity before the judgment to come, to repent. She didn’t hesitate, because she heard that God is God of all, and He took his people with mighty hand out of Egypt and no one would be able to be against God and scape, she made her move, and ask for a deal, she said; “if I hide you, you promise that you will save me, and she got for an answer, “make a “clear declaration of you faith”, so what she did, is that she she bound the scarlet line in the window, so the spies will know that she was expecting the promise to reach her and her house, so God saved her because she made her strong statement of faith and believe in His words. Amazing in Hebrew love sound is, aw-hab, and this woman who was hungry of aw-hab, was called all the time Rachab and it sounded like raw-khawb, this woman had already something that belongs to God, just she didn’t know, but as soon as she perceived it, she fell in love with His savior. She was getting nothing but wounds out of men, but when she experienced the mercy of God, she was willing to let all her past die and start a new life under the covenant from God by His grace. Enjoy the love of God and make you clear statements that you love him too!!! |

Our hands, instruments of many activities during our life, to eat, to work, to grab, to fight, but when it comes to worship God, lifting our hands are very important, is an act of surrendering, an act of submitting, an act of necessity, like a little kid, lifting his hands to his dad, even there is no words, just by the act, the father is moved to mercy to pick him up. See the relationship between a man and his son is so great, the strong one, it’s touch by the smiles, and tears of his little reflected image in his son. When he sees his son, lifting his hands, immediately, goes to his need, and lift him up, to be close to his heart, to his face, the little one wants to see the eyes of his dad, so close, so he can feel so secure, and so loved by being that close. When we lift our hands, God want to lift us up closer to Him. Another fact in this verse, is that the desire of this man, is to lift up his hands in His house, His sanctuary, the place where an intimate communion between a man and HIs God, the unique God. It wasn’t just anywhere, but His sanctuary, the place where He made His dwelling place to be with us. Remember every time you go to His house, lift your hands, and bless His name, because He is good for ever. Bless The Lord, use your words, lifting your hands. I can’t imagine a dad, without wanting to hear the voice of his kids, even when they cry, the dad wants to know what is bothering them. So is God, He wants to hear your voice, even He knows your heart, and even He knows your thoughts before they get to your tongue, He wants to hear your voice, why? because your words are the confirmation of what you believe, and the testimony that is your heart, so the rest can hear, that in your heart, lives God. Lift your hands, bless The Lord, don’t miss the opportunity to live for Him blessing His name with your voice and your hands. God bless you.
